At the Lord’s Feet

It was a gray day out at the cemetery and the trees recently dead in preparation for Winter. My mission with this composition was to capture a single emotional response to Christ’s crucifixion rather than the event in a larger frame. The gloomy sky supported by the barren trees made for an excellent background for a statue mourning the loss of someone she cared for deeply.
